The High Tech News this week is the "free" Windows 10 upgrade
We all know what free means, but it is also about maintaining market share, or so the campaign states. In any case if you but and older windows PC the upgrade will still come free. Hence the HW providers are offering discounts to clear their stock.
Now the HW itself is the most up-to-date so it's probably a good deal. As for whether the new OS might be something you'll wish you'd waited on installing, we'll see. OK I decided to take the upgrade now while it's still free. If my postings stop for a while, perhaps that will indicate what I am dealing with :)

If you want wi-fi where ever you travel, Verizon and AT&T are the best bets in the USA, since they have the largest tower network(s). Note that the deal I found here is unlocked and compatible with GSM carriers like AT&T and T-Mobile as well as with GSM SIM cards (e.g. H20, Straight Talk, and select prepaid carriers) but no CDMA carriers like Sprint, Verizon, Boost or Virgin

Photography Tips and Tricks: Using an ND Filter - Episode 49
I've always seen long exposure pictures without knowing how they did it. Then I stumbled on these video instructions. I just had to add ND filters to my tool set. BEWARE: Check the lens size and threading on your camera before you buy!! If you look at the camera lens itself you'll know it can take an ND filter if there are inside threads at the outer edge, but the size in millimeters is probably secreted somewhere on the camera or lens case (if your lens is detachable).
